The Beatles conquer iTunes

In their first week in the iTunes library, The Beatles have managed to sell a ridiculous amount of albums. According to sources, the Beatle invasion resulted in almost 120,000 of individual albums sold.

Leading the way was Abbey Road, which sold just about 16k, followed by the White Album (13k) and Sgt. Pepper (11k). But what's really sending the numbers off the charts is the Beatles Box set, which includes all 16 of their albums and sells for $150. That set has already sold 13k copies, which adds around 210k individual albums to that total, meaning the Fab Four sold an estimated 310k digital albums in one week.

that's the importance of the beatles' music
